| Myself and my group of friends (known collectivly as the CircleSoft Group) went ahead and made this drive fit in the PS2 and work after seeing a lot of Fitting and Working no's for the Wester Digtial WD400 40gb hard drive.
Let's just say, that the way it was accomplished was not quite easy and definatly voided the warrenty of AT LEAST the Network Adapter. We didn't actually expect the network adapter to work after the modification though it works beautifully. We didn't have a copy of the HDLoader software on hand to see if it was supported, but plan on doing such a test soon. News about this project will soon be up on the CircleSoft Entertainment (http://www.circlesoftus.org:83/) website. We will outline how to modify the network adapter (the Eth&Mod version) to fit the HDD. |
