| cant you take out something in the ps2 just slightly to make it fit? or no, i don't know. |

You can trim a small part from the network adapter and it works perfectly. Have to take the network adapter apart (7? screws), use tin snips or similar to remove the unneeded bit of metal (far side of the molex/power connector).
Got one in mine now, works fine!
