Works great with official Sony adapter. Speed burning a disc averages ~1000kb/s (see my PS2 version).
Games run great, although had issues saving Simpsons H&R save data (burned disc through using FMB mem card with FHDB running simultaneously. Save data would have an incorrect date, with the month incorrectly made to "82", which was flagged as corrupted and unable to be loaded. Most likely an issue with virtual memory card setup (which I didn't setup) or something, but issue was resolved by not using HD-Loader to run game, but OPL instead. Game was burned using HDL. Didn't try other games, so it may be specific to either DVD/CD disc types or just individual games.
No issues transferring games via HDL Batch from my Windows 11 PC either. Bought drive used for $10 shipped.
Overall great drive for the money. 7200 RPM is overkill for the PS2, but runs quiet with no issues.
