Like the others using this hard drive, I had to modify the adaptor also. Just becareful if you decide to take the top printed circut board out of the adapor. There is a soldered on plug on the underside that you can't see until it's off. It just unplugs by pulling straight up. This plug is very fradgile. So don't use a lot of force when reinstalling the circuit board or you'll end up breaking it like I did and having to buy another one. The reason I took the circut board out is to modify the metal "basket" that is inside the adaptor that gives the adaptor's guts rigidity. This way instead of just pulling the rivits out of the metal basket I notched the basket so the pulled rivets would clear and give something to support the cable plug for the hard drive. I guess that sounds wordy, if you have any questions let me know. |
