149GB can be used after formatting it with HDadvance,

get HDadvance instead of the HDloader.

HDloader only supports up to 120 gigs.
HDAdvance supports up to 200 gigs.

THAT IS WHY the other people are saying it only gets to use 125gb because they have HDLOADER.

GET HDADVANCE

Check out the seagate web site, you will find that the makers measure 1GB differently from normal terms, ie in their measurement 1GB = 1000000000bytes
this is why you see only 149GB, its the same with my PC

I Just bought the 160GB segate hard disk that you said is working well. I get to the HD advance screen and it freezes. Do you have any suggestions. The firt time i put it in it prompted me to format. I did that and ever since then it hasnt worked. I have tried every jumper setting. Please help if you have any suggestions. Thanks.
